At 7,220 feet above sea level, we are proud to have our base camp reside in beautiful Evergreen Colorado, where the air is thin, the trees ever green and it’s not uncommon to see snow in June. With an abundance of trails, rivers and friendly folk right outside our doorstep, the mountain lifestyle flows throughout everything we do and is the driving force behind ActiveOutfitters.com. For over 23 years, our brick and mortar store has been serving the Evergreen community and we now look to extend our award-winning retail service to the online community.
As with life, ActiveOutfitters.com continues to be a work in progress. We’ve come a long way thus far, and we have even further to go in executing our vision. In the coming months we hope to create a powerful resource, not only for outfitting your next adventure with the best gear and apparel, but one that can teach us all about taking care of ourselves, our families, our friends, and our planet.
Our EcoActive section will not only bring together the latest eco-friendly apparel from all the top manufacturers like Patagonia, PrAna, Keen, and a host of others, but it will also provide links to partners who share our same core value of preserving, sharing and enjoying this wonderful planet we call Earth. You’ll be able to locate your local recycling centers, find tips on how to reduce your personal carbon footprint, read articles on topics close to home such as energy conservation and reforestation projects. As a company, we realize that we are not perfect and that we all have a lot to learn about safeguarding our delicate eco system. We’ll have local trail information and guided travel adventures that can be booked right from our site. And the best part about Outdoor Central is that we’ll all be able to share our stories through our photos, submitting our finest travel photos with prizes awarded to the best of the best.
